What techniques do you use to make your jewelry?

I create my jewelry using three different techniques: Electroforming, Wax Casting, and Silversmithing.

Electroforming is a complex and innovative process where chemistry and electricity work together to slowly build layers of copper around a piece. From beginning to end, this hands-on process can take 3–5 days and is naturally unpredictable — which is what makes each piece truly one of a kind.

Do you take custom orders?

Absolutely! I’m always delighted to create custom pieces.
Please contact me to discuss your request or to share inspiration images before placing your order.

The piece I received looks different from the picture — is this normal?

Yes — and this is part of what makes your piece special.

You will receive a ring similar to the one shown in the listing, but not identical. Most of my gemstones are natural and untreated, meaning each one varies in shape, size, color, and character. Inclusions or natural markings are completely normal — think of them as birthmarks of the Earth. This is why I describe my jewelry as “perfectly imperfect.” 😊

Electroforming itself is unpredictable. Some pieces may feature organic textures such as current lines, bumps, grooves, pits, or subtle variations in plating. Please rest assured that I only ship pieces I am 100% satisfied with.

The ring I've ordered doesn’t fit - can it be resized?

Depending on the size difference, Yes, I will be able to resize your ring.

If your ring has a larger difference in size, i.e. more than 1 size Up or Down, I will need to make you a new ring.

Please contact me so I can help you get your ring resized.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Do you offer gift wrap?

Yes! All orders arrive beautifully gift-wrapped in a lovely gift box, ready to give.

Can I include a note with my order?

Absolutely. Please leave your message in the comments section at checkout. Notes are handwritten, so please keep them short and sweet.

PROCESSING & SHIPPING

Where do you ship from?

All pieces are handcrafted in my home studio in the Montreal region, Canada 🇨🇦

When will I receive my order?

Processing time (before shipping):

  • Electroformed pieces: 2–3 weeks

  • Wax cast pieces: 3–4 weeks

Shipping time begins once your piece is finished and ready to ship.

Estimated shipping times:

  • Canada: 5–10 days

  • United States: 5–10 days

  • United Kingdom: 10–21 days

  • Europe: 10–21 days

  • Australia, New Zealand & Oceania: 10–28 days

While I do my very best to meet these estimates, delivery times cannot be guaranteed due to unforeseen circumstances.

If you need your piece sooner, please leave a note at checkout and upgrade to Expedited Shipping.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I do. Please note that international delivery times may vary, and I cannot guarantee or control delays once the package leaves my studio.

Can you rush my order?

Possibly. Please contact me before purchasing - expedited shipping is usually required.

How can I track my order?

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number.
Please allow 24–48 business hours for tracking updates to appear.

What if my package is lost or arrives damaged?

If your package is lost or arrives damaged, I can help you file an insurance claim 45 days after shipment, provided the package was not marked as delivered.

International packages are not considered lost until 45 days from shipment. Customs delays are outside of my control.

I entered an incorrect address — can it be updated?

Shipping addresses can be updated prior to shipment only.
Once shipped, packages cannot be redirected.

If a package is returned to me, I will contact you to arrange reshipment.

RETURNS, EXCHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

Can I return my order?

Because each piece is custom made, I do not accept returns for refunds.
An exchange may be offered for another item of equal value and is subject to a restocking fee, based on the complexity and size of the piece.

You must notify me within 3 days of delivery, and the piece must be returned within 10 days in its original box.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Mother’s Rings

  • Solid 18k Gold pieces

  • Custom orders

  • Earrings (for hygiene reasons)

The stone fell off my ring - can it be repaired?

Yes, repairs are available.

You may return your piece for repair, and I will refund return shipping costs up to $15 USD.

Returns must be shipped with tracking and insurance. I am not responsible for lost, uninsured, or untracked return packages. If the piece is altered or not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase.
After that timeframe, changes or cancellations are no longer possible.

MATERIALS & CARE

How should I care for my jewelry?

To preserve the finish and protect the stones:

  • Remove your jewelry before bathing, swimming, sleeping, exercising, or using household cleaners

  • Avoid contact with lotions, perfumes, hand creams, or sanitizers

  • Store in a cool, dry place — your Moondrop Creations jewelry box is ideal

  • Gently clean using the microfiber cloth provided with your purchase

Is your jewelry nickel-free?

Yes - all pieces are made using nickel-free metals, including Sterling Silver, 14k Gold Filled, and Solid 14k Gold.

Are your gemstones genuine?

Unless specified (lab-grown), Yes. All gemstones are natural and sourced from trusted suppliers worldwide. I also personally hand-select stones each year at the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show.

Can you replate my jewelry?

  • Replating is free within 12 months of receiving your piece

  • After 12 months:

    • Silver: $40 USD

    • Gold: $60 USD

Can I visit your studio or pick up my order?

As much as I’d love to meet you, my studio is not open to the public and cannot accommodate visits.

Can I choose my gemstones?

I’m happy to send gemstone photos after your order is placed, so you may choose from available options.

Do you offer wholesale?

At this time, wholesale orders are unavailable due to a high volume of retail orders.
